Little Forest Playschool is a nonprofit preschool that uses a play-based learning curriculum for children aged 2 - 6. Parents can choose a part-time schedule from 5 hours a week up to full time. Parent programs are offered to the community at large and include topics like: Managing a child's allergy, Kindergarten Readiness, and Infant/Child CPR. Scholarships are available for low-income families. CYFD payments accepted.

In addition to the programs listed below, the LANL Foundation assists school districts in developing and implementing programs for their district such as dropout prevention, computer technology, early literacy for Indian students, and much more.
The Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in fields serving the Laboratory and the region. Awards are based on academic performance, leadership potential, critical thinking skills, and career goals. Integral components of the selection process include financial need, diversity, and regional representation. The Education Outreach Program supports non-profit education institutions, organizations that have a 501(c)(3), government agencies, and pueblo/tribal communities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), including teacher curriculum enhancements, educational technology, and student support (college preparatory workshops, mentoring/tutoring, LANL High School Co-op, undergraduate and graduate research assistance and more [see www.lanl.gov/education]). Serves Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties.
The Education Enrichment Program helps area school districts address critical public education needs and improves the quality of education for North New Mexico children primarily by investing in the areas of STEM, including teacher curriculum enhancements, educational technology, and student support (college preparatory workshops, mentoring/tutoring, LANL High School Co-op, undergraduate and graduate research assistance and more [see www.lanl.gov/education]).Funds are non-competitive and awarded based on an allocation formula. NOTE: Foundation Endowment Funds can be allocated towards "non STEM" educational areas. Serves Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties.
The Small Educational Outreach Program provides monthly support to organizations requesting $1,500 (or less) for projects and events supporting education and learning in the region in areas of STEM. Serves Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties.
