Daffodils for Hospice:
This is a community fundraisers held annually by the Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Services, Inc. held annually in March.
Little Forest Playschool:
This is a fundraiser held bi-annually by the Little Forest Playschool in March and October. This is a service to the community by offering a market to sell, buy and recycle gently used clothing, books, CDs, toys, sporting goods, infant essentials, women's wear and children's furniture at super great prices. More than 100 volunteers participate, and more than 100 sellers. Proceeds benefit children's programs. Heart Healthy Eating, Cooking & Living:
This is a cooking school designed to teach the necessary skills for a heart healthy lifestyle, hosted by the Los Alamos Heart Council and the Los Alamos Cooperative Extension Service. Each class is different and builds on the previous session (you'll want to attend all four). Classes are designed to offer information on managing cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose and blood pressure and allow for hands-on cooking experience in making different food entrees. The Empty Bowls Project:
This is a community fundraiser held annually in March. The Empty Bowls brings people together to support Self Help. For a small donation, attendees choose a handcrafted ceramic bowl, eat delicious soup, bread and dessert, and take the bowl home to keep. There is live music and a silent auction with one-of-a-kind artwork donated by local artists, performing arts event tickets, and local goods and services.
Dog Jog:

Fundraiser for LA Cares. Held annually in April (Passover).
