Operating hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday from 9:00am - 1:00pm

The Los Alamos Senior Center offers the following services to citizens of Los Alamos County who are 50 years of age or older:

Transportation: This service is provided for Los Alamos County residents over 55 years of age and handicapped adults on a space available basis. This service includes transportation for medical appointments, shopping, RSVP volunteers (retired and senior volunteers), and other needs of members to attend Senior Center activities. The vehicles operate from 8:00am to 4:30pm daily. For more information, please call 662-8922. Fares are $3.00 for each on-way trip in Los Alamos County. Reservations 24 hours in advance are requested.Requests for emergency and medical transportation are referred to H.E.L.P., a volunteer transportation service provided by the Lions Club.

Self Help's Los Alamos Emergency Fund: direct financial assistance with transportation. Serves Los Alamos, northern Santa Fe, Rio Arriba and Taos counties. Clients are the working poor, or they are on a fixed income such as Social Security Disability, unemployment compensation, or assistance through the New Mexico Income Support Division.
