The Los Alamos Home Tour, benefits Family Strengths Network, a nonprofit providing family support services.The Home Tour showcases Los Alamos as a beautiful place to live, as well as showcasing the new and historic homes here.
Little Forest Playschool:
Little Forest Playschool holds an annual Fall Fiesta, which is an open community event for families of young children. It offers bouncies, the tunnel, the Alpine slide, the book walk, other games and prizes of children, and a silent auction fundraiser, all on the beautiful 2-acre wooded campus. The Little Forest Resale is a fundraiser held bi-annually by the Little Forest Playschool in March and October. This is a service to the community by offering a market to sell, buy and recycle gently used clothing, books, CDs, toys, sporting goods, infant essentials, women's wear and children's furniture at super great prices. More than 100 volunteers participate, and more than 100 sellers. Proceeds benefit children's programs. The United Way of Northern New Mexico holds an annual fundraiser/campaign event in September and October which is the largest fundraising event in Los Alamos and Rio Arriba counties.
